A Southern California Weekend

Right now, life as we know it, is baseball!  It's so exhausting, so much fun, and super busy.  Yesterday we woke up and went to church and then rushed to get Nicholas fed and back out onto the fields.  And from there, it was, once again, non-stop!

Sometimes I think to myself, what will happen when the boys grow up?  Right now every single moment is about them.  Every decision we make, every dollar we spend, every plan we make is based on Nicholas and Noah.  This isn't a complaint at all, it's the opposite rather; my two boys fill my life with such a joy, such a satisfaction in the life we are living.  I always feel overwhelmingly blessed by the day to day happenings, the big and little things that make my life as their mom so filled!

After a long Saturday morning and afternoon of baseball practice the boys, literally, fell to the ground and became one with the grass!  They laid there on the grass while Nicholas' travel coach led a little pow-wow about the practice.  It was a beautiful warm day in Southern Cali . . . it was in the 80's.  I was in flip-flops and from a distance I could see the snow-peaked mountains!  Only in California :0)

I really love that all of Nicholas' teamates and buddies are sweet & kind with Noah.  They all love him and treat him like their little brother.

Both boys slept good that night!

 Happy Monday!
Happy Valentine's Day!

All I could ask for . . .

Has it really been 2 weeks since I've updated my blog?  Sheesh . . . Life has been so busy around here.  The boys are busy little bees and I've been all over the place trying to keep up with them!  I must mention that I have taken on a position on the little league board and that has added to the craziness going on around here.  But we are all good . . . exicted because baseball season has officially begun for Nicholas and Noah :0)

Let me back up a bit.  This past Tuesday evening was cap night for our little league.  I will quickly add that I was in charge of making this event happen . . . It's where we invite the entire league of players (over 200 boys and girls) to an event where we announce what team each player is on.  Each player walks up to the stage and shakes their coaches hand and receives their baseball cap, much like how the NFL draft is set up.  You can, surely, imagine our excitement for both our boys.  But being that this was Noah's first year in little league . . . well it was just super-duper exciting!  Noah's team was the first to be announced and when they finally announced his name he was so cute walking up to the stage!  What melted my heart was when all of Nicholas' baseball buddies, some of the parents, and other friends we have made cheered for him as he walked up on the stage to receive his cap.  Such a happy moment.  And it was equally as fun watching Nicholas with all of his baseball buddies . . .all such great kids, enjoy, what is like, their senior year in this league.  So there you have it; we have a tball player on the Diamond Jaxx and a majors player on the Washington Nationals.

Yesterday we got our first taste of what it'll be like for us this season.  Noah had baseball practice at 10am until about 1145 and Nicholas had baseball practice at an entirely different field at 1215.  So you can imagine that yesterday we were running around from one field to another with a cooler in the back of our van so we wouldn't starve along the way :0)  Although it was crazy busy, I love it!  I love it because my boys are happy and when I see them out running around I feel so completely blessed.  My boys are healthy and happy and that's all I could ever ask for.

Here's to a good and busy baseball season!
Pictures/video clips to come . . . I promise.
